My daughter has friends with all kinds of names, some names I think are very funny and some horrifying, but she and her friends absolutely don’t care. I think that’s one of the great blessings for raising a kid in NYC–it’s a gorgeous mosaic, just like Mayor Dinkins said, and a name is a name.
