A friend of mine fell a few weeks ago. He’s 70, He broke his femur very close to the hip. 24 hours later he had a new hip, was discharged 3 days later and walking up and down his stairs 2 days after that.
dona- my mom fell too, on Christmas eve. all holiday plans changed. she is about a similar age to your mom, I think. Christmas was good except for that.
The pork loin last night was incredible.
It’s been snowing in Philly for an hour. I just got on the train to NY. The schedule’s already delayed a lot. it’ll be bedlam tomorrow AM….got to get the sidewalks shoveled!!!!

I spoke to my mother — out of the hospital — on Christmas morning. She is going to get better. I was never so happy to talk to her. I forgave her 100% for lying to me about Santa Claus.

I went to an Italian style Christmas eve at my cousin’s. Saw everbody, cousins, kids, grandkids, there is even a great grand kid in the mix. So much fun. Then to my brothers — Italian wife made the appetizers and pasta and my brother a wonderful pork, fabulous gravy, potatoes, and went to another cousin’s for dessert, more kids, cousins, presents. Food, friends, family! Happiness!
