Rf…where did you hear that there will be no trash collection tomorrow? I’m wondering now if I should take my trash and recycling out. There’s nothing on the DOS website.
We are the only ones home this week in the brownstone where we rent. I shoveled the steps and in front of the building. Nasty stuff! Now I have to go back downstairs and take the garbage and recycling back in since the Dept. of Sanitation said they are not collecting tomorrow.
Got home to see the 80 year old neighbor having done the entire block. Since then I’ve been out there three times…it’s no longer fun. We are getting about 2″ an hour. Just timed it though…wow…15 minutes to do the entire block. Not bad for an old faggot.
One thing about the string bean casserole–you have to drain the string beans very thoroughly. That was my mother’s super-important tip, from the Campbell’s Soup Cookbook, volumes 1-6.
Lots of snow in Bed-Stuy. Not as much in Park Slope. Driving is not fun. My daughter has an appointment for a routine physical at the pediatrician at 8:30 tomorrow morning–wonder if they will be open!
Dibs did an entire block in 15 minutes?

Dona, that’s great to read about your mom.

As I look at the accumulating snow, I think to myself: “Isn’t it better to live in a condo rather than a brownstone”?
He-he-he.
Off to eat Christmas leftovers!
