Thanks about my mother. She didn’t fall though. She had the shingles of all things, which were so excrutiating that she was given an opiate painkiller on Wednesday. Then the next morning she couldn’t speak. They thought she had a stroke and we had to wait till an MRI proved it was a reaction to the drugs. She is still having a hard time, but she will get better. The doctor couldn’t believe that she takes no medication and walks 3 miles a day at 88. Poor thing is really suffering though….
I went to visit a childhood friend’s mother and extended family on Staten Island today for dinner. Half the people didn’t show up because of the snow and I should have stayed home too. Driving back to Brooklyn was terrifying, really frightening. I really made a mistake in judgement. It is really bad outside. I got off the BQE because the winds were so bad I couldn’t even see 5 feet in front of me and the wipers were getting iced every few minutes. I got off the highway and crawled home on 4th avenue. Scary.
Lechacal, I can’t believe you. I actually associate Kansas City with good food. My best friend there is a gourmet cook. After she got laid off from her job, she is making a living from catering. She is awesome. Go to Po’s too.
Outback steakhouse. Fries.
Why can’t you go get some BBQ? Jeez…
Correction: trilemma.
Dilemma:
1. Leftover ambrosia and green bean casserole.
2. On the border, ruby Tuesday, outback steakhouse, etc.
3. .45 caliber sandwich.
