rob- on the map, clearly you need double-glazed frame, and then put it on a giant stand in the middle of a dedicated room, so you can walk around both sides, like they do with those double-sided panel paintings at the Met.

Lech- when I lived in chicago and commuted around the city teaching, it was just as unpredictable (and significantly slower) than the subway is here, and stressful as hell. The subway, whatever its scheduling problems (and it’s never *that* late) is way less teeth-gritting knuckle-whitening than driving ever was.

If you don’t care about the delay or the stress and just want a phone connection (and have decent insurance so you won’t worry about your injuries from talking and driving into something) then I suppose westchester makes sense, but that’s the only improvement you’ll find- no less stress. Is westchester that much cheaper than manhattan? Couldn’t you just move closer to wherever you work?

Rob, who gave you all those Christmas presents???

so i was a very bad boy and opened up most of my xmas presents early. one of the presents is a ginormous map of africa that is like the size of my wall, im hanging it up later. but on one side is the map of africa and on the other side is like famous people from africa. i dont know what side to showcase 🙁 other good gifts: new pair of sneakers, candy, acrylic paints of every neon color (snappy one of them is glitter!!!!), naked doll torsos (eh, not sure what to do with those), a blanket, a set of paint brushes, a fruitcake (!), and my fav. gift of all neon green duct tape!!! im totally in the christmas spirit now and im trying very hard not to open up the main wrapped gift.
