Be sure to send Rob the sculpture made from coins and dollar bills.

my grandmother used to have a friend in her bingo parlour who made money trees (flowers). basically flower arrangements made out of bills. in 6th grade she had one made for my teacher and when i gave it to her it was totally akward.

rob- on the map, clearly you need double-glazed frame, and then put it on a giant stand in the middle of a dedicated room, so you can walk around both sides, like they do with those double-sided panel paintings at the Met.

that’s not a bad idea at all!!! “dedicated room” hahahha. if i could put it in the thing you said i could just put it in the alley outside of my apartment, no one ever goes in there. i threw out two old pillows that used to cover my air conditioner like 2 years ago and those two old ratty pillows are still in the alleyway. squirrels or something was trying to get in at one point and plummaged thru them.

thanks for the idea. i might just put up the map side. i’ve been to Africa many times (on the internet) but it’s totally different having a visual map like this. and dave, shut up, none of those were regifts.

  3. dh- although their new ad campaign makes them look like the douchiest beverage ever, the wife and i are big bushmills drinkers, and I believe Astor carries their “1608” anniversary edition whiskey, comes in a vampire-coffin-like box, and is possibly the most delicious whiskey I’ve had.

(I’ve had blue label, didn’t think it was worth it, but then again, I’m not a fanatic. and may very well (see above graph) be a douche.)

  4. fast foward 20 years: thanksgiving at old lech’s house in westchester.. his kids cursing him out for having left nyc at such an early age. or not… you never know. a lot of kids do that now tho. if my great-great grandmother on my mother’s side from italy wasn’t such a ho-bag and made 13 children in northern nj and if my great great irish grandfather on my grandfather’s side chose to stay on the bowery, id be like, a native!

  5. “BH and I never argue like this, we’re very respectful and protective of each other.”

Yeah but you’re just shacking up. Once BH gets you locked down into a long term contract, that’s when the fun begins.
