The problem for me is being out of contact for 50+ minutes every morning and having a consistently unpredictable commute.

bullshit, you are just trying to justify your move to westchester. unpredictable commute? stop it. just leave 10 minutes earlier. in the 9 years ive been using the subway system only twice was i ever late to work cuz of it.

Ive gotta get the fuck out of brooklyn. Being underground out of bb and cell service for 50+ minutes in the morning is just not an option any more. On top of that I’m totally at the mercy of an unreliable subway system. Can’t be sure I’ll be at my desk at a particular time unless I leave myself tons of extra time. Stood at rock ctr for 15 minutes this morning waiting for a fucking m train. It worked when my commute was 15 minutes on one train, but this just doesn’t work any more. Looks like w’chester sooner rather than later.

stfu, dont you take the R like i do? it’s not that bad. i was so worried when they got rid of the other train here and it was a mess for a while., but there are always seats, at least from park slope to lower manhattan. dont you like to actually not be tuned into shit like that sometimes? my commute time is my zen time and i love just reading. if people had the option to be yapping on the cell phones or texting or anything on the subway id be pretty pissed. also if people have the option to do that i can guarantee you that there will be 100x more accidents on the subway with all the idiots blindly walking around texting like they do on the streets. i cant tell you how many times in soho i see someone almost get run over by a car walking into a green light in traffic totally oblivious. you are not that important!!!!

  4. Good luck at Target, Scott! Maybe you can take turns waiting on line at the cashier and shopping. I did see these plastic candy-cane tubes filled with Play-Doh canisters that made me think of whether I had a little kid to shop for. Cheap, too! Near the dollar aisles when you first come in via the escalators.

The only time I have ever not had laundry in my unit was when living in dorms in college.

i know youre like new and all, but ugh. there was this chick my freshman year of college in our dorm who did all the soccer and lacrosse team’s laundry for them. yes, i was somehow stuck randomly on the soccer and lacrosse team floor :-/ they were surprisingly nice people tho. when i would visit friends who lived in buildings that housed the “artists” i wanted to scratch my eyes out and jump off the balcony.
