I own 2 shares of BAC. My brother used to work for a bank which got bought but another and then another, etc and now is BAC. He gave me 1 share of that bank when he worked for them. Was worth lot more back then. (25 years ago). And used to get dividends.
Re ice-SKATING, I think I am going to check out and work ow…..jeez, I get in trouble and I don’t even know I am getting in trouble. It is bad enough when I try.
I knew an old guy who lived in Bronxville… he owned a small marine supply biz on 22nd Street in Manhattan (in the days when there was a marine supply biz and one could actually be in Manhattan). Name was Fred Sheer, and he was a real gentleman from the old school.
When he sold his biz he still kept coming in on the train to Manhattan so he could play cards with his friends on the train.
Hold on, boys, what do you think I signed up for here?
To me, ice skating is going to a rink/pond, putting on ice skates, and zooming around on the ice. Did I spell that wrong? (scating…..oh, God,)
^^^^^^^
Re, the above, repeating…..Rob, I will go ice skating with you. I am an excellent ice-skater; a good part of my mis-spent youth was spent on ice-skates.
Snappy – If you cut out garlic & toms, what’s left for you to eat?
Larchmont has some nice places & people. And Bronxville has SLC!!

not a bad year, huh?
Winners:
F, TTF, VAR, CTXS, SI, CYD, TDC, MLNX, YUM, NYB…
Plus a bunch of MLPs that I got out of.
Losers:
BAC, TNH, CHK, RRC
I never can seem to get the timing right on BAC.
Lech;
OK. I work in White Plains, so most of my exposure is to the Hartsdale/Scarsdale crowd.
These towns are among New York’s toniest suburbs, but they are kinda stale-looking (if you ask me). Seems like 80% of the homes are 1920 Tudors.
Lots and lots of i bankers in bronxville.
Lech, would you reject bronxville if your wife chose it?
