Slopey, I actually think it’s the people that make this blog work. No clicks=no advertisers and as much as some of the people would hate to admit it on here, the original PLUSAs on here are the reason most still read the blog (including lurkers) and the reason Mr. B still collects a paycheck.
I actually think the writing and content was better on Philly brownstoner (no offense to Emily or Motrose). They had some really talented good writers on that blog.

i’ve been to philly. have no clue what area it was tho. it was in an apartment building during a huuuuuuuuuge storm. and then we went to some store that sold creepy things.

Not enough people in Philly care about cool stuff. If they did, they would’ve moved to NYC. The downtown there is good, but not vibrant and changing at a pace that most find interesting. And I think there’s a lot to Slopefarm’s point as well – real estate isn’t edge-of-your-seat stuff these days. We got hooked when it was.
