In honor of the passing of Philly b’stoner, here are some of my favorite things about Philadelphia:
1. Mrs. Slopey was born there.
2. Art museum — especially the Duchamps room.
3. Eastern Penitentiary (great architecture, interesting history, really intersting audio tour narrated by Steve Buscemi)
4. Magic Gardens and out of control mosaic work all around South Street area
5. Great brick houses and sidewalks, nice areas for walking around
6. The Barnes
7. The Barnes controversy
8. Surprisingly good Thai and Vietnamese food
9. U of P museum of anthropology — best collection of mummies around
10. The Klaus Oldenberg clothespin
11. All the tiny little streets like Quince, etc.
Hi everyone!
for anyone that cares – am still alive and well – however working at my temp job where I can’t really cruise the internet! I miss the OT and you peeps!
I just wanted to pop in to say a big hellooooo!
Baby and I are doing fine – however I am not really showing yet (6 1/2 months prego now)so I don’t get offered a seat on the train and I usually get bumped into or pushed when I am walking to and from the train in Grand Central! I am SICK of rude new yorkers.
Pete, just got an email from Ticketmaster for but 1 get one free for the Christmas Rochettes at radio city. Only valid for Orchestra or first mezzanine.
CGar – better to wink back than write a full email anyway – she started the communication so just keep giving her signs that you’re interested and that she should keep going…
