  1. I really wish everyone didn’t walk around with a camera nowadays.

you go to the wrong bar on a saturday night and you end up chillin with a bunch of people posing for facebook pictures. lame.

  2. I went through this period once where I decided to explore all of the creative things I used to like that fell by the wayside when I started working in corporate life. I took video making at NYU which was a blast. But also I took photography at the School of Visual Arts. The thing that I really loved about that was the darkroom. I loved editing photos and developing them was a really creative process. It was really fun. It was fun to see the images gradually develop in the chemicals too….

  3. L, I think they killed all his gay friends 🙂

dibs, here’s the thing. Today everyone’s running around with a lil’ digital camera, sexting, taking dick pix and putting them on CL, uploading to nude Flickr groups, and so on.

Let’s say prior to 1980 or so, if you were interested in photography, you had to do some work. And if you were shooting nudes, straight or gay, it meant you were doing your own darkroom work as well as investing the time needed to get the technical part right. These probably dated back to the 1950s. There’s a limited number of people who could be doing this, compared to today.

So dibs don’t get all crazy, it’s not the fact that this person’s subject was gay boys, I would be just as excited if it was a series of pix documenting the building of 40 Wall Street.

Of course I have no idea if the work was good or not since I didn’t get to see it. In fact maybe it wasn’t worth anything. But I hate when some potentially interesting work is destroyed just like that.

  4. No, Rob, I can’t order wine (people there don’t drink) and can’t order candy (they make candy and confections) and I can’t spend a lot of money because then they can’t accept the gift because they have limits on their receiving gifts.
