One of the difficulties I had with photographing was that I was very interested in street shots of people but I was paralyzed by thinking that it was rude, disrespectful and intrusive to take pictures of people without their knowing or approving them. And then if you got permission, you would get posed crappy photographs.
I’m in Carversville, dona. But I oftentimes take a route (Aquetong Road) that goes right by his place. I had a garage on my property built with the same style roof that he has on one of his buidings…in the shape of bird’s wings sorta.
His original pieces are worth tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Your place is in New Hope, Dave?!! I love it out there. I once went to the workshop of George Nakashimaya, the Japanese guy who pioneered all of those stunning pieces of furniture cut directly from local trees (i.e. tables out of huge slabs of a tree, incorporating knots etc into the design) out there. His place was in New Hope. He has since passed away, but that was a wonderful little trip and I thought that is a really pretty area!!
The whole “private pursuit” angle of serious artists is incredibly interesting to me. People who spend a lot of their time working on “my project”, those people are interesting.

She’s OK, donatella, thanks. Better than she was a week ago, but not great.
Not really sure, Jessi! But what happened was good enough.
