haha – no shit! no one really bothers me, unless they’re walking down the wrong side of the sidewalk and don’t move the hell out of my way.
Only people who bother me:
People that don’t stand to the right on escalator
People who exit a store onto the sidewalk and walk right into the flow of traffic
People who need to enter a store as you are exiting and don’t know that the courteous thing to do ids LET PEOPLE OUT FIRST
People who don’t follow the American convention of walking “on the right side”
Tourists mainly who walk 3-5 abreast on the sidewalk
i wonder if in 20 years people will look back on NYC of today favorably.
yeah, there is stuff going on – but it doesn’t seem to be of the caliber of the 70s/80s.
Oh, it was fun alright!!!
Yes, them too, I agree.
“dh, be very glad you missed the seventies & eighties in NYC!!! Very glad.
I’m sure if i had moved here out of school in 1980 I’d be dead now!!!”
yeah – i love hearing stories about ‘back in the day’ (especially in nyc) – sounded infinitely more fun than NYC of today.
i agree on all of those dave
may i add a few?
– people that stop on the subway stairs to finish a cell phone conversation
– people who text while walking

“Any of you ever get to Studio 54 back in the day??? I was there in ’79.”
my parents were 18 in 1979
