I am now almost old enough (I think) to be Disco Sally–remember her? Not that I want to go to a hot club.
I also lived walking distance to hot clubs. My daughter (14) likes living in Brooklyn–she always went to school in Manhattan and still has chorus there 3x/week, but she’s a brownstone neighborhood girl, likes coming home to quiet. But of course she thinks I am too old to know very much, at least nothing important.
I do love it when she finds music that was new when I was young. Led Zeppelin. Jethro Tull–I overheard a long discussion in the car about Aqualung. Rolling Stones. But she likes the movie version of the Beatles–how could she?
aha – i just realized i’m arguing with the 2 people on this blog who probably know the least about brooklyn.
nevermind!!
i beginning to think i dont really like anyone except black chicks between the ages of 14 and 35 :-/
