  1. electrical question… so i went searching for a 10 watt 12 volt halogen bulbs to replace the one that burnt out in my fiber optic christmas tree. the only one i was able to find, that fit, was a 20 watt 12 volt. i assume it will be brighter right? it’s not going to melt inside is it?

  2. bfarwell,

Not so sure about Ireland and Portugal but the underlying theme in Spain and Greece is one of “big government”. Their governments have spent beyond their means. This is tied to the idea of exessive taxation.
Why should we allow the US Government to grow larger and more inefficient?
I am speaking specifically to the tax cuts for the “wealthy” which I would see as keeping the tax rates as they have stood for 10 years.
Federal employee compensation already outpaces private sector wages/benefits by large amounts. When did we decide that it was the business of private/free markets to be in business to sustain the public sector?

How about not increasing the constitutional cap on spending? After all, hasn’t inflation been kept in check?

Truth be told, I don’t necessarily think it’s a huge problem to increase tax rates to Clinton era rates if the economy were doing well.
My problem is with increasing the tax rates for the higher earners during this severe spell of unemployment.
That last jobs report was a wake up call for the President.

Face it, those making over 500k make up a large portion of small business owners. The people running restaurants, franchises, auto dealerships, small factories, etc.
Keep the small businessmen/women happy and you’ll create jobs. Then one day, that busboy can buy open his own restaurant.
