bxgrl, no suprise, but I strongly disagree with your statement that what Truman did was unethical.

Lech- it’s much easier to take that tack and not look too closely at the results of what we did. That’s how people cope- you just push it aside and don’t deal with the reality. What Truman did was quick, efficient and totally savage. Why he chose to bomb cities I don’t know- but it was a less than ethical action.
I agree with you there. Definitely nothing to be happy about. It’s horrible. The right decision, in my opinion, I’d do it again in a hearbeat, but there’s no denying that what happened was horrible.
