“To all you Wal-Mart haters: how many minimum wage workers do you actually know?”
Hard to find any cuz even in NYC most companies try and pay a bit over just so they can claim they pay more than minimum wage, lol.
My first job on the books when I was 14 I was very happy cuz they put me on at $1.85 an hour when min wage was $1.65.
dibs otoh has probably had a number of min wage workers in his house. Of course when they’re in his house they’re off the books and taking rob’s advice.
denton, amd fusion chips, in early technical reviews and comparison vs Intel chips, is kicking enough ass that now rumors intel might be forced to buy nvidia so they too can try to get something to matchup vs fusion
My brother in law hates Walmart because they wait until the absolute last minute to pay their bills (just before you are ready to haul their ass into court). They buy advertising from him.
“maybes walmart should get a big tax deduction for their charitable work helping improve the life of poor people. that is if they pay any taxes.”
OK, second time in two days we’ve had the ‘they don’t pay taxes’ comment.
1) Go to company or SEC website.
2) download their 10K
3) go to financial statements
4) go to the note titled “Income Taxes”
5) Look at the categories titled “US Federal – Current” and “State and Local – Current”
This will give you a very good idea of what any US company “pays in taxes” to the US and State governments.
If these numbers are all zero or negative then you have a basis for the assertion.
m4l that would be great since I bought some the other day.
dona, I hear there is zero free housing in ND and people are living in their cars even tho well employed.

dibs, since you are looking for yield, like me, check out this number I bought a few weeks ago, GNI. Yields about 10%.
Seems thinly traded so don’t know if some ghetto asshat hedge fund could buy a lot without disturbing the market.
