“DH, the kardashian’s just opened up a store down the street in soho.. people who have been there said it is extremely out of place (it’s very very LA’ish) but i dont really know exactly what they mean by the way. i think they stop in the store every once in a while. that said i havent a clue what they are famous for.”
BARF. They don’t even dress well, what makes them think they can open a store in soho?
OK, jackal, I’ll take 1 as a given. 2 — don’t go north of Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow. Hastings is closest and therefore shortest ride. However, check metro north schedules for express trains and where/when they stop. 3. I think anything on the river from Hastings to T-town will be fine. 4. Between Hastings and T-Town, you’re talking a 10-min diff on the Saw Mill. No difference to you whether you go to VT up NYS Thruway or I-91 from Hartford, you start out more or less the same from those towns, give or take 10-min. 5. T-town prolly has the best town center of the lot, and the best hoods walking distance. Hastings is steeply hilly right by downtown. Don’t think there’s much to Irvington downtown. Don’t know DF well, but it may be promising. 6. TBD. 7. Definitely a bit of a hippie hangover vibe in Hastings, but there’s a mix. I would like it. Can’t tell if you would find it a lot like 107 community or would be over the top grating on your nerves. Again, DF might fit the bill. My sense, and this is from 20 years ago, is Irvington is a bit stuffy. T-Town prolly diverse enough (as in different types and vibes of white people) so you could find your niche and tolerate most of the others.
I know these people who are artists who have lots of family money and have a fancy dancy house in Hastings on Hudson. I have never been there, but our mutual friend tells me that the area is full of rich hippies like them.
Yeah, you’re pretty much down to Irvington, Hastings (maybe not the kind of people you’d like), Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley (couple of miles inland, not that pretty but v.good schools).
Other towns either have inferior schools or are further out.

Oh, and if I go to a town and I see nothing but skinny white women with fake blond highlights wearing sweaters and riding boots I’ll just keep driving.
Those are the types who keep the stable boys happy.

Back after lunch.

Their father was Robert Kardashian, the lawyer/friend of OJ’s.
So they are famous for NOTHING, like Paris Hilton.
