legion- reread: “With regard to military tribunals, the Bush administration inaugurated 20 such cases. So far just three convictions have been won. The highest-profile is the conviction of Salim Hamdan, Osama bin Laden’s driver. The Hamdan legal saga, rehearsed here, doesn’t exactly suggest that military tribunals provide swifter and surer and tougher justice. In the end, he was convicted all right, but sentenced — not by a bunch of New York City Democrats, but by a military jury! — to five and half years.
Then, the tribunal judge, a US Navy captain, gave Hamdan credit for time served, which was five years. So he served six months after conviction. Today he’s back in — guess where? — Yemen.”
You know what I am concerned about? People like you who think the justice system should be conducted according to political party affiliation. Look up all the terrorists the Bush adminstration let go- there’s a lovely little enclave in Yemen. Perhaps if the neocons had a better understanding of the world and how it works, we wouldn’t be where we are today- mired in years of war.
Legion- once again your “I hate liberals” mindset has blinded you to all the facts. You pick on Holder but ignore the Bush administration record. Why is that? Because you can only think inside a political box.
bxgrl,
I’m not ignoring the Bush record.
I believe all such cases should be handled in a
military court.
I’d rather have that extra layer of defense from
leakage of information.
you continue to ignore the main point of my posts,
that there is a security risk involved in trying
these vermin in civilian trials.
The risk is mainly at the hands of vermin who would
assist these criminals in their attempts to
undermine this nation.
Whoa, partner, don’t start suggesting that the rest of the PLUSA’s will be indicted. At this point, strictly a non-party subpoena. Standards on a motion to quash are far better.
This has to be the working caption: United States of America v. *rob* a/k/a butterfly f/k/a pitbull.
Pete, I’ve now decided Hotmail is the devil. Only Arkady seems to get my emails from there. Everyone else keeps saying, where is it? You said you’d email me xxy and it’s not here! ARGH!
Legion — do you think rob should be tried in a military tribunal or civil court?
now, Rob can’t even enjoy a hot looking guy eying him in the subway. instead of thinking the dude is a good lay, suspects dude is FBI
11217 can put on his blonde wig and dress up to look like Nancy grace to do the blow-by-blow trial coverage.
maybe you don’t type address correctly or those people are making excuses and have your email address blocked.
I think we all have to honestly testify to what *Rob* wrote when comes to trial. If it ever comes to trial.Mostly they just sit and rot waiting.
LIGHTEN UP, PEOPLE!!!!!
IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!
SHEESH!!!!!

Nicknames make for great tabloid trial coverage.
