I think your parents had a very advanced view toward your education – M4L. Took you out of Catholic school after one day (Go Ma!) and after two months out of weekend school. Somehow I imagine that there was somebody twisting your arm though — it seems like you have strict
ideas about education.
This country has the worst method of teaching foreign languages. I took Spanish from 7th grade through my junior year in college. I can read and write fairly well, but please do not ask me to put two words together verbally.
I hated Chinese school on the weekends. didnt/couldnt learn squat and it took 2 months of that crap before parents agree they wasting $$$ sending me there. Thank god for Chinese comic books else I wouldnt be able to read a lick of if.
My childhood friend, Kathy, used to think that the nuns used to get stacked up on top of one another at night and that was how they slept (coulda been..)
This friend is also one who designed her own holy card (of herself as a saint). She said she wanted one where her arms were crossed in a reverent way over her chest and she was looking upward.
