I’m chary of renting shoes at a bowling alley these days due to the proliferation of bed bugs and the genral level of venereal disease, fungus and other maladies throughout Park Slope.
We should do a bowling night at some point. But BK bowl can get expensive. Melody lanes does an all night $20/person special that includes shoe rental.
Back from a very late breakfast. I’m taking it easy this morning, because I seriously sprained my ankle last night, and I have “booth babe” duty later today.
If you come to New Orleans again, I would recommend Cafe Beignet instead of Cafe du Monde. The coffee and beignets are just as good, and it’s not nearly as crowded. It’s where the locals go. It’s located on Royal St. in the French Quarter, right next to the Supreme Court building.
By the way: beignets are just a cheap imitation of zeppoles. Yet another group trying to take the credit for a food that the Italians invented!!
etson, if you look for that tag at the bottom of EARTH (aka south pole), you’ll see it says “Made in China”

DH, I know man. that was me saying “Only if…”
I thought the Chinese invented zeppoles.
They invented Italy, anyway.
“DH, if 15/head allows us to bowl, sing, that would be huge bargain – even if they rape us on the drinks and food”
haha – no, i meant $15 a head just to walk through the door. everything else extra.
it’s also insanely loud (always live music going on)
