Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is one of my favorite children’s books and my favorite Christmas cartoon. Boris Karloff narrating. Brilliant. I love the holidays.
jackal, I agree with you about Accounting for Lawyers, but personally disagree on Latin American History. I studied LA politics and history (predominantly covering the 19th and 20th centuries) and found it very interesting.”
Well sure CGar. I studied the back of a cheerios box this morning and found it kind of interesting, but that doesn’t make it a real subject.
Other majors that are not real subject: communications, exercise science, political science, women’s studies.
Rob, I do believe drinking straight from a growler would be considered quite jejune.
Jackal – I think it’s cool that your kids have limits. Not sure where I’d be without them. But what should parents do when traditional discipline doesn’t work, e.g., they don’t mind being sent to their rooms for 8 hours.
I also took a Philosophy of Sex course where we mainly studied famous feminists. My friend and I were the only non-lesbians in the entire class. It was also interesting but I suppose I should feel somewhat guilty for not having decreased my porn consumption after the course ended.

Lechacal, add majors in Art/Art History, English and Literature.
Hmmmm, didn’t know that. Mine simply says “by Dr. Seuss”, but it wouldn’t be here without him I suppose!…how can you hate Oh the Places You’ll Go?
Any non-science course I took was basically a GPA boosting course. Still didn’t get me into Med School though.
Can you imagine me as a doctor?????

It worked, lechacal.
So are you guys saying that the Dr.Seuss books that are in print now for kids aren’t the same great books from 20-30 years ago?
