I like how 11217 is so good at judging a whole neighborhood when you KNOW he just sits at a table in a bar and wears his silly bowtie and makes fun of everyone with his other cosmopolitan, judgmental friend.
hey jackal – last time we hung out at an obnoxious bar in williamsburg full of sheep, how many people in that bar were actually from williamsburg?
“Is Berkeley shitty and boring and full of coked up 20 something dickwads and 30 minutes from the parts of San Fran where people actually want to be? If so then I guess I understand the comparison.”
I contributed to Heiffer International one year. Since then I’ve heard not so great stuff about the organization and their contract requirements for the new owners and forcing not evironmentally sustainable Western methods onto the recipients. Mainly in the way of requiring antibiotics and drugs given to the animals, artificial insemination techniques and minimum requirements to produce and give away a certain number of young from the animals, burdensome requirements on feed, and controlling the plants where milk can be sold. And got blasted by a Vegan friend that even their bee keeping fund was totally unacceptible.
Look for another organization that funds fruit trees or supports planting ground covers that protect the farming top soil.

No, not really.
Are we going to dog Biff over this pickle thing? I’d relish a pun more than a fight.

Yes, Berkeley is prettier, and you’re prolly right about the coke thing. But I’m pretty sure plenty of people in Berkeley are “sheep”-ish, too!
Yes, it’s just about 30 minutes from downtown SF, maybe kinda boring in that quasi-burb married with kids kind of way.
“bxgrl, biff said put a sour pickle in it”
Raunch hour?
Pun = I don’t “relish” the thought of putting a pickle in it
SQOTD = Why do we say we are in a pickle when it’s virtually impossible to squeeze inside one?
Dave- they’re a well known and well documented organization.
“Williamsburg is known for a new La Esquina where girls will be traveling from NJ to snort coke off a bearded hipster’s ass.”
really? that sounds great. maybe i shouldn’t be so hard on the new la esquina then.
Most charities are frauds.
Don’t ever give money to a charity unless you see audited financials.
The non-profit world is brimming chock full of fraud.
Just like evangelical churches.
