  1. Cgar, yes, would love to meet up at Montero’s sometime. I can’t sell you my place without meeting you, right? These last few months all my free time has been spent renovating this weekend house. I will be so happy to stop making that trip up/back on the same day.

I’m still waiting for the Love Lane project to post floorplans and prices. I know they’re floating high prices, but they may have a floorplan that works for you

  2. I used to have a window feeder. It provided entertainment for me and the cat. At first I’d get starlings, a sparrow, the odd cardinal. The somehow every mourning dove in the borough got the memo and there’d be a massive squabble and riot each morning at dawn. One day there were so many trying to get their heads in the trough that the suckers on the window gave way and the whole thing plunged into the neighbor’s yard downstairs. When I tried to get it back she gave me an earful about the mess the seeds and feathers and poop had been for the last year or so and that was the end of that.

  3. “Their kids have food, have nice clothes on their backs, cable TV ”

It is important that people on govt assistance have cable TV and watch as much TV as possible.

That way they are in a constant state of mind numbness and will never get any ambition or education. And of course will never be able to compete effectively against me.

I do not have cable TV.

  4. “In a way, you have to wonder especially if you aren’t the ambitious type why you would want to change and aim to have more independence and try to make more money working etc etc.”

Majority of these people can’t make more money working because so many of them qualify for jobs paying little more than minimum wage. Regardless, I’m glad these types of people are small in number. The overwhelming number of people getting SNAP or TANF do so temporarily. It’s humiliating having the government prying into your life and having to beg for money every month. Most people have too much pride to do that.
