  1. Hi Everyone,

I have to say Brooklyn is certainly the best borough to run the marathon in! Thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us on. You guys, along with the volunteers of the race are what makes the NYC marathon the best in the world. I loved running through the Brooklyn nabes and seeing everyone cheering us on and putting on their own show.

And *Rob*, yes the marathoners are litterbugs. But imagine the chaos it would cause if everyone had to throw their cups in a trash can…at every mile!

    And Happy Belated Birthday Dave!

  2. “Pres, where do you get your pickles? I like the whole ones and I like it with a little crunch.”

m4l, I’m with you. I love half-sour pickles (not new pickles) with a little crunch and prefer them to sour pickles but enjoy those too. As I recall, Biff doesn’t really consider half-sours to be pickles at all. My faves are Guss’ Pickles (Orchard & Broome). I prefer Guss’ to The Pickle Guys (on Essex), which was started by a former Guss’ employee. In a pinch, though, I’ll buy Ba Tampte in a jar (fresh so they’re in the refrigerator case) at Met, Key or Pathmark. Not sure who Carnegie Deli gets their pickles from (or if they make them), but their half-sours and sours are both delish. And now I need a pickle and a corned beef & pastrami combo on rye.

  3. That’s fine, g10, but the reality is that most people work and few spend their lives on the government dole. I tend to ignore those people because they aren’t the norm and it’s kinda strange that people like to bring them up like they’re robbing hard working people blind.
