defintiely avoiding most fish, Gem. i’m convinced they’re all full of mercury, like marvin gaye told us. i’m also avoiding foods with lots of preservatives, but i’m not even sure why. other than that, i’m not so careful- coffee, raw cheeses, etc all make the cut.

Great point rf. You’re right, North Korea, China, Stalinist Russia, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany all have better records than Switzerland on human rights. I stand defeated.

ALTHOUGH I was taken by some power traders in Washington State to Rocky’s House of guns once in Winachee, WA, Chelan county — power traders of Columbia River hydropower and lumberjack/hunter type guys. They were trying to prove what a wimpy, jerk of a liberal New York woman feminist I was (a favorite game among some circles, not here though). After going to Rocky’s and seriously engaging with the salesman, I picked out something (a Luger??? who the F knows….) I went along with this exercise for a pretty long time, then after multiple attempts to try to freak me out (this went on a while…months) they gave up and they think I am A-OK.
