  1. Legion, re energy, yes, it is going to affect heating oil prices….however, heating oil as a percentage of heating fuel is going down, down, down in the US since natural gas prices have been so cheap. Some places in the North East (DIBS’ other places) still rely on heating oil since the infrastructure isn’t fully built out for gas –but that is really going down.

  2. Legion, because of the cheap, cheap natural gas prices in North America, due to all of the shale gas here, importing LNG and building the expensive infrastructure that it requires doesn’t really make economic sense now.

  3. “Aren’t those the guys who sing sweet home alabama?”

No, Creedence sings What’s theme song (“Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi, again”)

    Here’s a fun cross-referential set list:

    Southern Man – Neil Young
Sweet Home Alabama — Lynnyrd Skynnyrd (sp?)
Play It All Night Long — Warren Zevon (“Sweet Home Alabama, play that dead band’s song . . .”)

You can top it all off with John COltrane’s Alabama.

  4. My personal experience with business things Swiss is so so. It is pretty limited though and dominated by an asshole, troglodyte who worked at one of the big banks, whose idea of woman in business is…..well….let’s just say I never experienced it before, even in the early days here. Hey, just roll with the punches….but many many woman there still drop out of the work force with marriage.

  5. hi folks,

    Donatella,
please tell me you are against the LNG proposals here in the US!

    on the Quantative Easing,
    here’s my simple question:
How is dumping nearly a trillion dollars going to help
when it will only increase oil prices just before the
    North East heating season begins?

Consumers aren’t going to spend on TVs and toys when
they have to keep up with heating bills!

this is one big shit sandwich.
