Not having a t.v., I watched returns on a NY Times website – it was fair & balanced.
I detest Irish-American chauvanism. (Just don’t dis my Nanny). Best un-sentimental comment was my best friend’s grandmother who came from Ireland. “Nana, do you miss Ireland? Do you want to go back for a visit?” Answers Nana, “I left that place for a reason, and I’m never going back”. She was dirt poor and came here for a better life. I think it is important to understand our history and be proud of ourselves though. Just none of this silly sentimentality though.
Yes it does, lech, and the current NI government is a coalition of parties from both sides of the divide.
There is much less of a military presence. NI has its own police force, as it always has. It has been renamed as the “Police Service of Northern Ireland” vs the previous name of “Royal Ulster Constabulary” and now makes efforts to recruit a lot more in the Catholic community.
And I view St Patricks Day as a day I’m not allowed to drink in relative peace and quiet if I wanted to.
Well lets say the last $35 out of the current price of $145 for POT was an injection. besides, they want to invest more money in the business.

Benson, that’s great. Congrats to you and Mrs. B on the new pet/family member. I know you miss your old dog and I’m sure you’ll provide a very loving home.
I was just teasing before re: the Irish. I’ve been to Ireland a few times and the country itself is absolutely beautiful and the Irish are amongst the warmest, friendliest people whom I have ever met.

Dibs – you know I watched MSNBC (b/c am slightly obsessed with them) but it was SOO one-sided. I fear fox news as they are the devil – however if they have faster reporting that’s good to know!
