  1. “Yesterday Wasder was yucking it up at the fact that the Republicans might have lost a few Senate seats because of Tea-Party activism.”

    Sorry–haven’t been around today.

benson-I most certainly was not yucking it up. I was breathing a sigh of extreme relief that the Tea Party was shown to be outside the mainstream of American thought as evidenced by the losses of four of the most extreme candidates.

  2. OK ditto I would guess the one of those that’s closest to Hampstead then!
I used to live in a “London village” on the other side of town. Blackheath – still miss it, although I don’t miss London as a whole.

“When all is said and done, the NYS Democrats will have to account for the fact that they sent the same exact group of hacks to Albany.”

And yet the same could be said for the Republicans for all the years they held sway.

Try and focus on the present. Your Democrats are currently the problem, not the solution.

My point, benson was not that we elected an enlightened bunch this time, but that the reelection of democratic incumbents to the State legislature is neither the result nor proof of the liberal orthodoxy you claim exists. Nor was the reelection of nearly all the republican hacks to the state leg proof of a conservative orthodoxy.
