  1. dibs, indeed. Funny thing is that S&P and Moody’s rates NYS bonds with the assumption that govt employee healthcare benefits will not be paid. If included I would imagine NYS would be junk and MFs would drop bonds and new interest rates ^^^^^^^

  2. The founding fathers are still relevant today.
    My favorite by far is Ben Franklin. I have read his autobiography and Poor Richards Almanac several times.

    Alexander Hamilton was absolutely brilliant in his notions for the future of the American economy. In a very real sense he created the foundation for our current prosperity.

    The incredible thing is that the founding fathers were so grounded in universal principles of human nature that their ideas have never become antiques. Like other great thinkers, Socrates etc. they will be studied forever.
