  1. “I would say my hair was on the drier side b/c of highlights and it’s curly and long but once I stopped using shampoo my hair has more body and looks shinier and not as dry/frizzy”

Hmm, That’s what I was guessing. My hair is pretty straight, and oily. I can only begin to imagine the oily/gross mess it would be. Seems to me that most of the people I hear going the non-shampoo route are people with curly or dry hair.

  2. speaking of North Shore Animal League,

I remember our family being rejected for
    a dog one year.
They called our neighbor up and found out
we had another dog already, Chico.

…I think they had a rule about Hispanics
having more than one dog or something. 😉

  3. “I took your name in vein this weekend. Speaking of, who you got lined up to play Santa at this year’s PLUSA holiday party since the suit don’t fit me no more???’

In vain, I hope, unless that’s halloween related.
I’ll play Santa. You want to be an elf?

  4. “This is what I do. Most of my friends do the same. Since I stopped using so much shampoo my hair is less frizzy and not as dry. Conditioner already has enough detergent to clean hair”

    YEP – 100%

CObble – I would say my hair was on the drier side b/c of highlights and it’s curly and long but once I stopped using shampoo my hair has more body and looks shinier and not as dry/frizzy

On the basis of going after the two yard workers, lechacal’s reasoning would support the SEC in going after EACH AND EVERY EMPLOYEE WHO PURCHASED STOCK AHEAD OF THE DEAL.”

Many companies flatly prohibit all employees from trading shares other than during specific times after earnings releases when all material information has been pushed into the public domain.

If you are an employee of a public company, trade at any other time at your own risk.

When in doubt, buy some other company’s stock.

  6. “I always thought Parents without Partners were for peeps in their 40’s-50’s looking for love, no?”

    Gem,

That is generally true. This particular chapter of the PWP has developed a reputation as the place for ballroom dancing.

    I am British, not European.

    etson,
that just reminded me of the line in the
Sting song: Englishman in New York

“…I don’t drink coffee I drink tea my dear.” 😉

  8. I’m so happy when people find a good pet from shelters and it works out.

Animal shleters can be tough on applicants for many reasons. Good places like NSAL spend lots of money and time on their rescue animals and need to make assurances for the animal’s welfare and not necessarily the adopters.

I adopted a wonderful sweet beautful Chihuahua this year after my two other elderly Chi’s passed. It can seem shelters are being really picky and places can be very subjective as to who is right for the pet.

Reasons I heard applicants get rejected from talking to people who do rescue: Spur of the moment decision, Want to adopt an animal on trial to see how it works out – if not would bring it back, not estimating the money or time to care for the animal – food costs, feeding schedules or don’t agree to regular medical care for the pet, mismatch of animal’s temperment to the home environment, unrealistic expectations that there won’t be any training or issues to overcome…

  9. LMAO, Pasty Brit!

BTW, I took your name in vein this weekend. Speaking of, who you got lined up to play Santa at this year’s PLUSA holiday party since the suit don’t fit me no more???
