“Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble, CGar. And you are in trouble.”
When aren’t I in trouble???
And here’s my reply to your raccoon post:

“The raccoon was totally unafraid, and then proceeded to try to climb up the bars in my back window and get in the house.”
MM, that’s because word is out that you take in wayward animals (and tenants).
Benson – ok I thought you were talking about Leonards – what a wedding mill! – I went to a wedding there in 2001 and we were in and out in 4 hours exactly and there were another 4 weddings going on at the same time – mind you this was a Saturday afternoon
I can’t say I know which venue you are talking about – hmmm – I gotta think for a minute!
RF – I googled it and they are closed now 🙁 – it seemed to get good reviews though!
Hi Arkady, I think that was DIBS with the leftovers! We ran out at 7pm. Not a single piece left! Which is too bad because I could really go for another Reese’s Peanut Butter cup!
My daughter’s ceremony and party were at Golden Bridge restaurasnt, and one end of the room overlooked the Manhattan Bridge. It was really nice.
Of course they weren’t kosher (no problem for us!) but they asked us right off the bat if we wanted vegetarian food (we didn’t). After a lot of back-and-forth about the menu, they said they could produce anything we have ever ordered in a Chinese restaurant, and so I made up a menu of various entrees from various Chinese take-out menus, including some collected by a friend who eats in Flushing a lot–all food that wasn’t the ordinary stuff most non-Chinese people order from the place around the corner. Lots of veggie, fish, chicken, duck dishes, no pork, no shellfish out of respect for the cantor who conducted the service. Really delicious!
There are a few dim sum/banquet places that probably have a view–they could try Jing Fong on Elizabeth St., which backs up to Bowery at the bridge, or the place on East Broadway and Catherine which is upstairs–don’t remember the name. They might actually have a view.
Of course this is not for everyone! But it was great for us since my daughter is Chinese.
I think you’re getting confused. Leonard’s is in Great Neck, not Douglaston. Leonard’s was one of the most famous of the “wedding mills” of the 70’s and 80’s. And yes, I remember the huge chandelier.
The place I’m thinking of is not Leonard’s. It’s much smaller – it only holds one wedding at a time.
Lots of T&T here but candy left over too. (I get hard candy which I don’t like so I don’t eat the stuff that’s left. I’ll finish your Snickers, CHiller.)

Where’s Snaps?
Legion – yep they are seeing Steiner Studios too – thanks!
Bxgrl – I use that L’oreal conditioner for colored treated hair that is sulfate free
