Quite true, Cobble. I hadn’t recovered from drinking with friends on Saturday night — and well into the morning — and then proceeded to drink more on Sunday night, and it caught up on my all of a sudden last night.
jackal — Was the halloween “terrorist” on the corner of 12th & 7th? There was also a guy dressed in US military camoflage with him. They were a bit of an act. Both seemed to have been associated with the crowd at the bodega. I have to say, btw, for all I’ve complained about 12th b/w 6th&7th, it was a great halloween block. Great decorations and lots of families out.
DIBS — Unless a block has a big Halloween tradition, most people just go to people sitting outside on the stoop with the candy, and don’t ring doorbells. Lots of trick or treating on commercial blocks. More likely to get your doorbell rung if you have decorations and lots of lights on.
Weddings from the 70’s were in a class by themselves.
Powder-blue polyester tux with the oh-so-cool ruffled shirt. A rainbow of bright colors for the gals. Of course the wedding song was something like “We’ve Only Just Begun” by the Carpenters.
I’m jealous of all of you who got trick or treaters – I miss having the house b/c we always got trick or treaters. Apartment living isn’t fun for Halloween
I love Snickers, too, Legion. And Almond Joys, Peanut M&Ms, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and Hershey’s with Almonds. Those are all my faves.
Didn’t anyone hand out skittles? : P
WOW…tropical storm “Thomas” is forming into a hurricane. very late season this year.
Morning/afternoon (depending on how long it takes for this to post!) losers 🙂
Been doing freelance work this a.m. Feels good to use my brain again!
“You were drunk, remember?”
