You are rite. I are a product of New York Publix Scoolz.

  2. And, AND! You know what! There would be extra days off from work for every man, just in case the cramps got bad! YOU BETCHA!

AND, if a man had tits, you can be DAMN SURE that mammograms would be BANNED.

  3. But to say that minorities like Latinos should scrap college for trade school is go back to pigeonholing groups into a 1950’s kind of pseudo perfect world, where everyone knew their place and stuck to it. Makes me mad, and gives me the creeps.

    MM,
you really have to read my posts more carefully.
My point was mainly driving at the idea of pushing an agenda or an idea to a particularly vulnerable group wholesale. As in the idea that everyone has to own a house,
or that every latino has to go to college. What happens to the hispanic who wants to own a business then? The latino electrician, or the latino restaurant owner?
To imply that I am somehow suggesting (as a proud hispanic) that my fellow hispanics be relegated to their “place” in society is exactly what I’m railing against. Diversity of economic opportunity should be the rule, not selling a whole populace on some flawed notion of what’s to be expected from them. Right now, in this economy, would you rather be a latino with a psych degree or a latino with an expertise in airplane engine repair? Not everyone needs the psych degree.
