  1. Some firms were bailed out and some were not. Most of the TARP money has been paid back with interest.

Continuing to harp on this and the whole mentality of “blaming Wall Street” shows a strong lack of understanding of the whole financial system, what went wrong, who the crooks were and who were not crooks.

Like someone said yesterday, to paraphrase, it seems the liberals are now always the ones to condemn without the facts and with a broad brush.

  2. My neighbor growing up would don his bicycle helmut with a real horse’s skull stuck on it. Anyone who came trick or treating had to kiss the horse’s skull before getting any candy.

Now what was he teaching the kiddies?

  3. >ntitled democrats want more, more, more. Republicans teach a work ethic that makes our country stronger. You can’t build tomorrow’s leaders on the back of handouts

If that’s not tongue-in-cheek, it’s pretty much ‘Horatio Alger’ crap.

I’m really sorry if I misunderstood your position in the financial meltdown, I will direct my comments towards the BS and other financial screwups who put us in this position.

PS: I give you and benson ‘facts’ about income disparity and manufacturing loss. The ‘opinion’ is that these are not good for our society. And there’s plenty of economists and academics who agree.

  4. Yeah, what’s up with severe peanut allergies? When I was a kid, no one in the entire school had a peanut allergy. Now every 6th kid goes into anaphilactic shock at the mere mention of peanuts. What happened to the immune systems of people in the last 40 years?

  5. “I have a lunch meeting today where a group of mostly hedge fund managers sit around thinking of new ways to shuffle money, exploit labor and scale back union benefits…all for the betterment of the country.”

‘Cause they’ve done such a brilliant job so far. : P
