  1. I like being able to carry bags on, benson (in Canada you are allowed 2). I think security would be just as slow as they still have to check the people as well as the bags. Also, you’d lose a ton of time waiting for checked bags to appear.

  2. ugh i feel bad. i accidently scorched a hole in someone’s bikeseat outside before. it was not intentional. i put my cigarette out on the pole that bike was attached to and the cherry fell onto the seat into the crevice where the bike chain was on top of it. i walked away and then was like wait that probably isnt good i dont want anything to catch on fire, so went back and stuck my finger to put out the cherry that was still ledged on the seat. i was able to put it out but it burned a hole thru the seat! now im all paranoid cuz this was right on broadway outside of a bank and there’s probably security footage. it might look like i did it on purpose even tho i went BACK to put it out!!!

  3. CH – yikes! depressing, you are right – the story that broke my heart most was the fiber optical manager guy finally getting a job for $9.00/hour at Target after a year looking
    wow!
it’s really bad out there for so many Americans, worse I think if you don’t live in a metropolitan city. I’ve cranked up my job search now looking and applying for positions that I thought I wouldn’t take again – but Executive Assistant positions pay pretty well.

  4. benson….I NEVER check luggage. That said, I’m a pretty experienced traveller abd could go to Asia for two weeks with one carryon and a bag with my suit like you’d get when you buy a new suit. You’re right, the inexperienced have way too much luggage. They also take way too much time deplaning because of that. I always get up from my seat before we get into the station on Amtrak to avoid these idiots and their luggage

  5. “DH, be prepared to be socked with 300+ bill. you can kiss your eating out, drinking out budget goodbye.”

ugh – lame. it couldn’t be THAT much more than when I was running the AC 24/7, can it?
