The thing about dairy products is they don’t reallty go off, they just turn into a different dairy product. You can be damn sure someone in the world is eating with relish what we call rancid cream cheese.
I tried to convince my wife of this when I accidentally gave my son milk that appeared to have turned into cottage cheese or yoghurt or something.
Sounds very English!!!!!
BTW, that new food network has brought back Two Fat Ladies!!!!!!! Do any of you get that in Brooklyn???
HA i put sour cream in my coffee once when there was no milk left. just a tiny dollop. it was fine.

Renting and driving a car in Tel Aviv is not for the faint of heart. After doing precisely that today, I feel like I’m now ready to take on Naples.
“in NYC I’ve learned to check the dates on ALL dairy products before I buy them.
Are you putting cream cheese in the lasagna??? Wait ’till benson hears THIS.”
It’s been in my fridge for a couple weeks, unopened! Thanks, DIBS, ditto, Arkady!
HA HA HA HA! Yes! Yes! YES!!! I’m putting cream cheese in with my ricotta cheese to make it creamier, benson!!

i’ve noticed lots of things in NYC (specifically dairy products) always seem to go rotten BEFORE the date on the product.
and just barf-o-rama at the thought of you asking if it’s okay to use expired ingredients in your concoctions. perhaps you should open a food truck.

I wouldn’t use it more than two weeks after it’s expiry.
Putting cream cheese in lasagna?
Ah, Cobble, Cobble, Cobble. What am I going to do with you?
