The first guy I ever lived with was a crazy rich trust fund baby. I should have married him, popped out a couple babies, asked him to buy me a brownstone, and then divorced him after 10 years. Instead, his wife is doing that. She’s bleeding him dry. It’s very sad to watch. He’s crazy as a loon, but sweet as hell.
I’m sure one of the thousands of crooks still living in Haiti can afford that house, but who would be crazy enough to buy it? I wouldn’t trust anything constructed in that country to stand for much longer.

anyway just had a “nice” day with my mom as she’s trying to buy a condo here in Park Slope and she just isn’t savvy and is already driving me nuts and saying all the wrong things to agents….
I will say this – I had the most delish lunch at S’nice which has a “A” rating from DOH
Benson, what’s with the old man act? (i.e.steak is better than sex at your age, too old for life as a road warrior). As I remember, you are recently admitted into AARP, not shuffling around with a walker.
The first time I read updike was the first day I got liberty from boot camp. I went over to the main base (not the boot camp part) and went to the base store. The only book they had that wasn’t in large print was The Afterlife (I think that was the name), a collection of Updike’s short stories. I spent a couple of days reading it while the other guys did their thing.
yes, benson went to israel to protest landmark designation of temple mount, western wall, etc and in favor of redeveloping with condos. Figure one way to create peace and get rid of all the religious friction.

I’ve put off plastering the ceiling where I had water damage. need to get that done before the holidays.
