DCB I am a polemicist who doesn’t actually believe in anything at all. I just pick topics to fight about to keep my myself from going mad. The only thing I actually feel strongly about is that people should not be impressionable idiots who can’t account for how they reached their preconceived notions and can’t back up their statements with their own ideas. I believe in fighing well. Other than that I basically don’t give a fuck about anything.

DeLepp, my fear is that, at this rate, the OT is all (no offense).

bxgrl, I’m not paranoid, and I can say she most definitely is out to get me. She has a history of doing this each time someone comes in and covers for her, and this is how she treats one of my 2 colleagues (why not the other, we don’t know).

lechacal, thanks, malicious obedience is actually exactly what I’ve been doing — that’s what I did this morning, to the letter of her email, but then she took the passive-aggressive route before I could finish. And, you’re right, she’s NEVER clear in what she wants. And always tells me to do things as though I’ve worked her for years — does it deliberately since she knows I haven’t been here long enough to know have of what she’s saying.

I love the firm and the people, as I posted yesterday, and they’re very big on moving internally, but they reach out to your current managers, and she will definitely block me, and I’m afraid that, since she has been bashing me and undermining me to the head of our group for the past 3 months that, despite all the positive feedback, he’ll block a lateral move as well.

CGar — so sorry to hear that. I didn’t realize it was that bad. Is there a safe haven you can lateral into (an end run to a nearby but healthier branch of the org chart)?
