Re: EPA, I was thinking this am, the EPA defines noise pollution as anything over 85 decibels, which is also where exposure can create permanent hearing loss.
what the hell is the decibel level of screetching subway trains going around curves?? Why is it that we are living with this primitive level of service? Why is it that the only way of saving our hearing is either sticking in earplugs or sticking our hands over our ears as trains careen around curves????

MM, I agree that that’s clearly the case. I thought I could turn things around, and have been trying hard, but by yesterday, and certainly today, I realized that it’s futile and just not going to happen because she doesn’t want me to turn things around ergo I won’t be able to.
