Appropriate to yesterday’s OT convo on retirement, I saw a commercial last night for Charles Schwab where they made fun of other retirement planning commercials where they show elderly couples strolling along a their own personal vineyard. Ha!
Is it common practice in NYC for folks selling apts or houses to include tvs that are already mounted to the wall? Or do they tend to take them? I saw an episode of House Hunters once where the couple was looking at a foreclosure. The previous owners, before they were booted, stripped that house down to the core. They even hacked off a piece of the granite counter top in the kitchen and took it with them. DAMN!
CGar….in thinking about potential retirement, I too am going to make some demands on your house search. I’ll be needing a place to stay for one or two nights a month when i come up here on a sex tour, so best you get a two bedroom.
Biff, do what I did: I sold the Wegas with the house, so I didn’t have to move them at all. Of course, it took a team of movers and their oxen to “liberate” the furniture on which the Wegas were sitting so I could move it.
Biff, those Sony Wegas are a hot commodity in the classic video gaming community. For anything pre Playstation era gaming modern HDTV’s suck ass.
i found a ginormous tv in park slope on the street in the pre bedbug era that weights a ton like an elephant. i also have 3 TV’s in my closet. one is from the late 70s and in perfect condition, ceramic white. i should probably get rid of them, 4 TV’s in one bedroom is kinda hoarderish.

DIBS, that’s fine as long as you order some action (your charge) for the host CGar

Frankie’s 457 is excellent, too, Biff.
4 tvs in your room??? Dude, stop selling your metrocards and sell those tvs!
Biff, what did you and Mrs C ordered and found to be good at Prime Meats?
