DIBS, Pete blew us last Fri so he has no reference pt with the tofu. I need to take you to Flushing place cause their tofu even spicier. My mourning period is over so next time you around on the weekends, can take you there.
i dont know why security deposits are so excessive tho. one whole month of rent is absurd, 2 months of rent should just be illegal. i know there are deadbeat tenants out there but a good landlord should be able to judge a person’s character, and not by their credit score and bank account, because those two things are meaningless.
Dave, the hot dogs and chocolate milk is a stretch but the others work. Re, organic milk which takes forever to spoil, I found out the trick to Skimplus lasting forever. It is also ultrapasturized.
Milk goes with some desserts, never with pasta or pizza (in fact, I can’t think of a single Italian dish where milk is an appropriate drink unless you are 10 and under). Hot dogs? Ick! (but you knew that was coming, right?)
Re security, etc. one of the reasons I like leases is that it gives you a chance to have a serious heart to heart every year with the tenant. I think landlords should have a very serious heart to heart before they rent the apartment and repeat the story every year. God knows tenants have to put up with crap living in these ancient buildings, even when the landlord is good and very responsive (i.e. me) but they also need to be reminded of the rules of the road. Gently. Rent on the 1st. First and foremost.
And other stuff like, no, the security deposit is NOT your last months rent.

What’s the difference between skimplus and regular skim milk?
“Biff, you’re a cheap SOB…that’s only $16-32. They won’t be paying any attention to you at the bar the next night you go back.”
DIBS, I said “I heard”! And how would you know about the going rates for TVs anyway??
