rob…you never told me how much you sold your Metrocard for (and how much was left on it).

i sold the last two i had. both were sealed unlimiteds. i sold them for 70 bux a pop. they came out of my paycheck tho and were pretax dollars so i didnt really lose any money. they were my metrocards for november and december. i still have my unlimited for this month (we get them every three months at work). ill figure something out when november and december gets here i guess.

yeah it’s stupid, a dumb vicious cycle of selling two of my three unlimiteds every three months.

  2. In fact, I think most people who attend traditional 4 year undergraduate schools would be much better served by just attending community college. Much, much cheaper and just as effective in my opinion.

Think of the last college educated person who served you in some way (maybe literally served you at a restaurant) and ask yourself whether their education is at all relevant to what they are doing.

  3. “plus i think people who go to community college often major in more technical fields like installing hard drives and stuff.”

i think quite a few people go to community college first with the hopes of doing well and transferring their credits to a reputable 4 year school. If that plan works out they save a ton of money. Unlike moneybags DIBS and the Brownstoner Elite – most families across the country can’t afford to pay for 4 years of college out of pocket and resort to financing it with debt.
