m4l, I sent my broker that listing for the house on Hicks. Thanks again. At that ask, it must be too good to be true. Says the owner’s duplex and 2 of the 4 studios are empty, I believe, but my guess is the other 2 studios are rent-controlled, though, at that price, I don’t know that I care since I want the garden duplex, and could prolly combined the other 2 studios into 1 rental. No pics is also a bad sign, though that only be because it’s listed by a commercial broker.
Why i am skeptical of people’s ability to deal with reality, part 234:
1-Forum post where entitled roommate (not on lease) wants $3000 from his 83-year old landlady to help move out after water damage.
2-Forum post where someone called the Fire Dept to turn off a neighbor’s faucet (why did they respond, anyway…your tax dollars at work?)
