Hi all, I ended up not roughing it in the countryside this w/e. Neither I nor my friend was in the mood to go when it came to decision time on Sat am. Ended up furniture shopping in PS intead!
CGar – that apartment looks a little small compared to most of the stuff you have looked at. You would have to use the dining room as a dining room and not a bedroom b/c the living room is small. That would only leave that 9×8 space for a guest bedroom. Doable but not ideal.
*rob*, I want what I want and where I want it. And I’ve lost at least 2 houses and 5 apartments in bidding wars in which I wasn’t prepared to bid any higher.

DeLepp, it’s a total time capsule of a mansion. All original. I am all for modern but that stove and kitchen is pretty awesome.
It was a good weekend Cgar, thanks for asking. Saturday afternoon I bought a book of short stories for 50 cents from a couple of lesbians on PPW who were having a stoop sale. Read Sartre’s The Wall, James Joyce’s The Dead and part 1 of Kafka’s Metamorphosis. Re-read The Dead a couple of times cause it’s so goddamn good.

CGar, think that remsen unit is the one I saw back then when it was listed with BHS (in TLC condition) at 529 or 549k.
if that hicks place can be converted to 2 double duplexes, you know who has 1st dibs at that top unit. plus chk your email, am really trying to come thru on my 2 responsibilities with you.
