“How about the SINGING?”
Donatella;
Gospel singing is not my cup of tea, but I have to say that it is pleasant to listen live. They have rented all of the conference rooms in the hotel for rehearsals, so there is music wafting through the place at all times.
Well, off to more mundane matters: the Design Engineering and Manufacturing trade show. See you soon!
It’s funny how EVERYTHING in CA gets staged and I was just thinking yesterday looking at that 2mm plus duplex how NOTHING here gets staged. And a little staging could really sell these places I think. I’m always shocked by pricey places that are really not decorated at all.
I can only think it’s a snobby east coast thing. “My place is worth so much I dont’ even have to try to sell it” combined with a cheap thing, “And I’m certainly not spending 5k on staging” Even tho you know they’d make 100k more on the sale. I don’t get it.
dona, how would you play the food shortage story in equities other than the usual suspects (ADM, MON, etc).
When buying an corporate share, you are exposing yourself to the entire business of the company, not necessarily to the agriculture prices themselves. But just like the popular Gold ETFs, there is a whole world of commodity ETFs: Deutsche Bank, Rogers, DJ-AIG, SP GSCI, (S&P Goldman Sachs Commodity index) etc. The indexes world has become pretty sophisticated and differentiated. Each creator of ETFs has created subindices where you can choose the sector to which you are exposed: i.e. energy, metals, agriculture, biofuels, etc.

“Cobble, YES, it was torturous as that cake sounded like a few grades ABOVE the regular brownies.”
It is! Dense choc. brownie like cake, and then smooth silky surprisingly light ganache flavored with a bit of strong coffee. : P
(Blatant attempt to continue torturing M4L.)
“What era are you living in?? My husband ‘hangs out’ in front of the computer looking at booty and booths.”
Um, a computer won’t give bjs either. If I’m wrong about that please let me know where you bought your computer.
