  1. “let it be illegal. besides if the govt got involved with pot they would over charge for it, and it would most likely be crappy weed. and it wouldnt even be fun to smoke it.”

Wrong – medical marijuana is pretty cheap and very potent.

  2. “DH: At any moment one of the island’s inhabitants could kill you without any consequence whatsoever. Or vice versa. Which would you be more afraid of?”

    Sorry – didn’t read thoroughly

Probably other people. I think alot of murders and rapes are committed as crimes of passion without any regard for the repercussions (until after the fact)

Can’t think of any situations where I would have wanted to murder/rape/kill anyone if it was legal.

  3. “this is more about “hey let’s see if I can make a quick $1000 on a $2500 investment so I have more money for Christmas presents”

Rule No 1. Do not put money in the stock market to buy something or pay bills.

  4. rf,

I read that. But the good thing about this system is they don’t judge you against your neighbors but against other schools with same “diversity” as your school. Community Roots is not being compared to 321 for example but schools with same racial and socio-economic make-up. Community Roots should come out on top on this since it does have kids with parents who are with it enough to get them into the school.

And they got a 2.5 out of 25 on the basic “student performance” part. That’s tough.

It is bad for them that this is their first year of scoring.

My local school, PS8, got an F on progress. Ouch. They got an A last year. So it helps to look at a couple of years

  5. you do realize that if we legalized drugs that all our shit would be stolen from all out apartments, right? drug dealing is a legitimate form of making money for a lot of people. if they dont get that money from somewhere wouldnt they just find other means to get it? like stealing all your shit?

let it be illegal. besides if the govt got involved with pot they would over charge for it, and it would most likely be crappy weed. and it wouldnt even be fun to smoke it.

    *rob*

  6. real libertarians would say legalize all.

But your question (pot) is too simplistic. Would it be regulated/tested like a drug for quality/purity/safety with warnings etc — avail over the counter or only by prescript….taxed?
or just another plant product available at farmers market?
Driving while under the influence? If legalized, could employers still do drug sampling and not hire you?

  7. ” He told me that French women have it together beauty/fashion wise; they put themselves together better, cheaper, with less fuss.”

He’s right. That’s also true of Italian women, and it goes for the men as well.
