Legion- that’s your opinion, not the truth. Not even close. I know plenty of “leftists”, meaning liberals and moderates, and many of them are religious. So the fact that you can’t separate out the Leftist/Communist from the Leftist/Liberal means you don’t understand American politics all that well. Being left of center or liberal does not make one a communist, a socialist or the antichrist. Nor do you know much about atheism, agnosticism or humanism.

‘proven wrong’->disagree…rather say ‘the way it was implemented (in Russia, etc) was proven wrong’. Socialistic structure has worked well in the Scandinavian countries, France, etc. Don’t bring up current troubles, nothing to do with it, global and started by us here anyway.
‘good societal design here’->good for the haves, less so for the have-nots, and societal mobility is not enough to compensate unless you accept social Darwinism.
