  1. “He doesn’t want to change it.”

Friend needs to say. Re-set it or I want another ring.

When I got engaged I got a diamond. NEVER had it set. It’s sitting loose in a safety deposit box. I’ll sell her mine.

  2. Rob, I have to say that listening to you, I have had a new and unpleasant awareness of germs and bugs. I hope it goes away. Yesterday, I was painfully aware of the fact that a cashier at a local FOOD place was PICKING HER NOSE prior to her cashiering responsibilities with me.

The Purell I bought after the subway handshake the other day has served me well.

Question – my friend’s BF wants to get engaged and has a ring that’s a family heirloom. It’s never been reset. Thing is, he gave this ring to his first wife. She said the stone is the heirloom, not so much the setting and said she’d like it to be reset and is uncomfortable wearing the same exact ring that his ex-wife did. He doesn’t want to change it. Thoughts?

i have no thoughts on the matter, but my tiny violin does!

    GUYS!
was anyone else awakened last night around 3:30 by sonic boom?
either fighter jets OR a bomber flew over NY – omg it was sooo loud it awakened both me and my husband and we both commented on it

You sure it wasn’t just your husband playing games?? Holding your head under the sheets and farting!!!

  5. Jessi, my a alarm bells are going off a bit with regard to the story about your friend and that ring. It seems absurd that her bf would even think it appropriate in the first place, let along now insist on it?

  6. Noki – Where was that video? Who was the audience?

Biffy – The real downside of kids’ going to far-flung schools is that their friends & playmates are so hard to get to & they don’t bond w/ neighbors.
