  1. And if passport is stamped assumption is you spent money.

But since the authorites in Cuba are doing the happy dance you spent money, they don’t stamp the passport. The US fine apparantly is 55,000 dollars so they better NOT stamp the airport or I am doing a marine return trip to Miami.

  2. ha ha donatella,

does that mean we would set up
    shop in Park Slope?
    most PLUSAs live there.

    MM,

    last word,
I do wish we could take a more
    spiritual and down to earth
    approach at life in general,
without the need to compete and
    “get ahead”.

  3. Legion, what Mm said. And as dave said- business is for its shareholders first. That’s reality. It was not a judgment call on good and evil.

The idea the government exists to protect the private sector is patently absurd. Good government will protect the private sector but it exists to protect the people. As Lincoln said, it is (supposed to be) Government of the People, by the people and for the people. Not for Ford Motor Company.

As I pointed out yesterday, you don’t anger anyone because your logic is so impeccable. You annoy us because it isn’t. And rewriting what people say does not make for real debate. It makes for fiction.

  4. as long as you continue to see “business” as
a an amorphous blob of nasty, hell bent on
    destroying the individual
instead of the economic arm of real life
    human endeavor
you will continue to be puzzled and angered
by your position outside of it

Legion, I was talking about this remark. I think we’ve exhausted the subject, so let’s just move on. I still think you were very condescending, but I have work to do, and the sun is shining. See you all tomorrow.
